The project is being undertaken at Axim, Ankobra, Asanta and Shama under the STAR-Ghana’s gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) strategy which seeks to define an approach which ensures equal opportunities for women, girls, men and boys, and a ‘level playing field’ for all social groups. The objective of the Training is to enable the fisherfolks to understand the concept of gender and its influence in determining the number of women engaged in decision-making in fisheries management at their respective landing beaches.
